Day 24 of War
First night without sirens, though twice they sounded during the day.
We don’t know what was shelled this time, but at least Lviv is safe.
No matter what you are doing at the moment you hear them, i.e. shopping, driving, walking with kids you have to stop doing it and look for the nearest bomb shelter and remain there till the sirens end….
Everything closes at the moment they start and everyone is forced to leave the building or go to the basement if it has a bomb shelter….
You won’t believe but in most public places of the city you’ll hear ā€œthe alien languageā€ā€¦. Yes, Russian is mostly spoken in Lviv by IDPs from the East of Ukraine… We are teaching them to speak the state language as it is vitally important! It makes us one nation and gives us power to win! šŸ’Ŗ
The highest season in tourism – all coffee-houses, restaurants and hotels are 100% packed. Hopefully most of their owners share their over-profit with Ukrainian Army, voluntary and humanitarian aid organizations.
I’ve never seen such quantity of cars in Lviv! Most of them have ā€œnon-Lvivā€ number plates…
As the city always lacked parking places most of the ā€œbadly parkedā€ cars are fined by the municipal police (including mine šŸ™ˆ). The money from fines goes to Ukrainian army too. šŸ‘
As the day was sunny and warm, lots of people walking around I decided to share with you the video of Ukraine’s attractions and sceneries that is running non-stop on the screen of Grand hotel rooms where I am accommodated with the journalists being their the driver/fixer and working for them 24/7.
I’m sure you’ll like it too and will come to Ukraine as soon as the war is over…
Enjoy!
Slava Ukrayini! šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡¦ā™„ļø
