A video journal – continuing from Day 67 – featuring our Ukrainian guide Diana Borysenko reporting on the war in Ukraine and the partisan response to the Russian invasion of sovereign Ukraine.

Day 89 of War

89th of February…. (Or 89th day of war 😜)
Doing my usual work – guiding and expecting possible trip to the East of the country…

Day 83 of War

Kyiv
Yesterday attacks on Lviv & todays situation in the North-East of Ukraine
Slava Ukrayini! 🇺🇦♥️

Day 70 of War

After the City Tour for Volunteers I came up to the place recently created by one compassionate American gentleman….
It’s a recent memorial in the memory of those innocent people who were massacred by the occupants in Ukraine…. Heartbreaking… 💔
Today 3 sirens….
Yesterday 3 missiles hit Lviv…
3 Electrical Substations damaged. No electricity and no water in certain parts of the city. Luckily, only 2 wounded people, stained glass broken in the nearby church…. One of the hits was in 15 minutes walk from my house. I have a habit of walking in that area before I go to sleep….
God, save our Ukraine and our people 🙏

Day 68 of War

Home… Sweet Home…
Back to Ukraine
Conclusions after wasting so much time at the border with Poland
If U decide to bring a car on foreign number plates to Ukraine with the help of a Ukrainian driver (a woman or a man 60 + y.o.) and you are not importing EU vehicle, not bringing a humanitarian aid or not donating your van to Ukrainian Armed Forces or you are not a resident of foreign country or a foreign Embassy worker, coming to my country on foreign number plates is forbidden 😜
It seemed a very simple task – to drive a foreign vehicle from Poland to Ukraine.
BUT it turned out to be impossible to accomplish without a foreign citizen who will also have to drive this vehicle out of Ukraine.
Ukraine is a civilized country. But some formalities still remain too complicated and really ridiculous….
The Swiss journalist had to stop her work in Kyiv and urgently go and cross Ukrainian -Polish border to drive the car in….
Yesterday it took me whole day plus hotel expenses. Today we crossed the border literally in 15 min…..

Day 67 of War

On the Opposite Side of the Ukrainian-Polish Border
Experience & Disappointment
Polish Border Guards looking for the drugs in my van which was on Swiss number plates….
Ukrainian Customs fed me with kebab, oranges and coffee as I had to wait for over 6 hours …..☕️🍊🥓
Slava Ukrayini! 🇺🇦♥️
Congratulations to all Ukrainian Border Guards on their Professional Holiday!
