Next on your Lviv By Minivan Tour, its on to Prospect Svobody [Freedom Avenue]  Lviv‘s “Main Drag” – a boulevard that borders the City’s main tourist hangout and epicenter for civic festivities like the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony – a long promenade that ends at a large fountain in front of the Solomiya Krushelnytska Theatre of Opera & Ballet, itself a splendid example of Austrian era architecture. Nearby is one of Lviv’s many Crafts Markets where you can buy hand-crafted traditional Ukrainian clothing, jewelry, paintings, ceramics, and even rolls of Putin toilet paper – very popular now-a-days in Western Ukraine.

Once the site of a stone fortress that was Lviv’s birthplace in the 13th Century, Vysoky Zamok [High Castle Hill] offers panoramic 360 degree views of Lviv including the Civic Center and surrounding hills and is great for getting those selfies and PANO shots on your mobile devices.
