An Easter Paska Masterclass
What is a Paska?
Ukrainian Easter bread or paska (which means Easter) is a slightly sweet egg bread that can be decorated with religious symbols. It is taken to church on Easter morning in a special basket with other foods including Pysanky [Ukrainian Painted Easter Eggs] to be blessed. On Easter morning, after the liturgy and the blessing of the paska and other staples, everyone returns home to feast on the eggs, cold meats, and other goods that were blessed at church.
Watch how Paskas are made.
